Grade 3 Flight Instructor Rating
The journey begins here. Our Grade 3 Aeroplane Flight Instructor Rating is your first step toward becoming a certified flight instructor. You’ll learn not only how to fly well, but how to communicate clearly, correct constructively, and build the habits of safe, competent aviators.
Through a mix of classroom theory, briefings, and in-air exercises, you’ll gain the tools to:
- Conduct ab initio (beginner) training
- Deliver pre- and post-flight briefings
- Assess and manage student performance
- Maintain CASA-compliant records and safety standards
- Develop your own teaching voice and instructional flow
Grade 1 & 2 Instructor Upgrades
Once you’ve gained experience with your Grade 3 rating, you can advance to Grade 2 and Grade 1 — each unlocking new instructional privileges and career opportunities. These upgrade pathways are ideal for those aiming to become Senior Instructors, Chief Flying Instructors, or specialised training authorities.
