George is a medical doctor and business leader in medical devices with extensive experience in strategy, new market entry and health systems development in emerging markets.<\/p>\n
He is currently Chief Executive Officer at Edge Medical Solutions Africa. As CEO, George leads the company\u2019s overall operations, strategic direction, and growth, representing top-tier OEM partners including Varian, Siemens, and IBA, with a focus on building a sustainable, market-leading platform that expands access to high-quality diagnostics and cancer care across key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n
Prior to Edge, George served as General Manager, GE HealthCare West Africa, with accountability for regional commercial strategy and execution, optimizing commercial and service deployment to scale sustainable, accessible, and integrated patient care across the region.<\/p>\n
Before GE HealthCare, George was with Philips Healthcare, where he held several senior leadership roles across market and business organizations over a 10-year period. Earlier in his career, he worked in venture capital, conducting specific disease state market analysis, competitive landscape evaluations and investment opportunity screening in the United States.<\/p>\n
George is from Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria. He received his medical degree from University of Calabar College of Medical Sciences Nigeria and completed his Master of Business Administration with distinction at Hult International Business School Boston, with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Finance.<\/p>\n
